‘Families in Grief’ (FiG) is the latest charity to benefit from the North Devon Crematorium’s role in a national metal recycling scheme. A cheque for an amazing £12,000 was handed to Emma Marston, Director of Families in Grief, on 15th August 2022.

Chair of North Devon Crematorium Joint Committee, Councillor Helen Walker, says: “I am really pleased that we have been able to donate £12,000 to such a worthy local charity that provides such vital support to children, teens and local families during what can be a very difficult time in their lives. I’m know the money will be very well spent and will benefit those who need it most.”

Director of the charity ‘Families in Grief’, Emma Marston, says: “We are absolutely over the moon to receive this donation. Over the past year we have seen many more bereaved families coming to us for help and sometimes our resources can be quite stretched as we are only a small charity! The donation from the crematorium’s recycling scheme will enable us to continue to provide support to the increasing numbers of bereaved families in the area. It’ll make such a positive difference to their lives – thank you!”.
