Walking and talking in the open air are wonderful ways to remember someone you love. So this September we are encouraging people to walk in remembrance of those we love who have died – who will you walk for? You can join us on Sunday 26th September for a short Forget-Me-Not Walk or step out on your very own walk! Read on…
Forget-Me-Not walk and 15th Birthday Tea on Sunday 26th September
We would love to invite you to our birthday celebration at Bideford Children’s centre in Victoria Park, Bideford on Sunday 26th September. Maybe you are a family we have helped in the past, or perhaps you have volunteered or fundraised for FiG before? Or maybe you simply want to join in and find out more about FiG! We want to re-connect with the community we have supported, and the community that has supported us. It will be a chance to celebrate and reunite with families old and new as well as make new FiG friends!
The afternoon starts with a Forget-Me-Not walk followed by a tea party. The 1.5 mile Forget-Me-Not walk is a gentle walk around Victoria Park to remember those close to you who have died. If you have children with little legs you may wish to get sponsorship for their walk to help us raise money in the process. We will then finish with birthday tea and cake.

Create your own Walk!
You can either join us on Sunday 26th September (as above) or you could take on something a bit longer any time in September. You might even want to make it into a challenge and raise funds for us by setting up a fundraising page.
You could do a walk of 15 miles to mark our fifteenth year or you could walk 1.5 miles for 15 days in September, or whatever length you choose. So why don’t you rally your family and friends and step out together? Please let us know if you do set up your own walk so we can give you any help you may need.
