Our first Wellbeing Walk at Arlington Court was such a success, we now have another date for you. So if you have a child of primary school age who has been bereaved, it may be time to reach for your wellies!
On Monday 12th February, Arlington Court are inviting up to 15 children under the age of 11 to a Family Day from 10.30am to 3.00pm. There will be a treasure hunt in the woods in the morning followed by garden fun activities run by Gardeners Co to dip in and out of in the afternoon.
Families need to bring their own packed lunch and drinks although hot drinks will be provided.
The important thing is to wrap up warm – so lots of waterproof layers, gloves and hats for everyone! Plus boots – we are sure there will be plenty of puddles to jump in…
We all feel better when we’re outside and when you have been bereaved and have ‘run out of words’, simply spending time in nature with others in the same situation can be a truly comforting experience.
National Trust will provide some walking volunteers while a couple of Families in Grief volunteers will also be on hand to help and provide support as required.
Your family does not need to have been supported by Families in Grief to take part.
