A great day out in the great outdoors

‘Throughout the day, there was a lot of positive conversation among the families, sharing their stories and the benefit of spending time outside in nature.A parent after the last walk

Run in conjunction with the National Trust Team, the day will run from 10.00am to 3.00pm.

  • Meet at the entrance at 10am
  • Play games in Home Farm Field
  • Fun treasure hunt in the woods
  • Picnic lunch followed by games and activities in the afternoon

Families need to bring their own packed lunch and drinks although hot drinks will be provided.

We all feel better when we’re outside and, when you’ve been bereaved, simply spending time in nature with others in the same situation can be a real comfort. National Trust will provide walking volunteers while a couple of Families in Grief volunteers will also be on hand to help and provide support as required.

The family does NOT need to have been supported by Families in Grief to take part. There is space for up to six families.

Please email Bec Symonds, FiG Family Support Officer at [email protected] by Tues 14th May if you wish to book a space.
